Info about 50hertz
50 Hertz should probably not be described as a band, rather as a collective, a clan or maybe a sect. An explicit fact is that they consider every person who has ever done anything on a 50 Hertz recording to be an actual member of the band. Literally, that means that you among the members can find musicians thay play, or have played, in loads of Swedish independent bands, like Slagsmålsklubben, CDOASS, Bremen Brotröster GmbH, Addo 602, Talking to teapots, David & the citizens, Lo-fi-fnk, Häxor och porr, The Book of Daniel, TIAC, Gäddan & Braxen and Lavemangsmugglarna.
The main purpose with 50 Hertz is to make fantastic pop tunes, and then ruin them by adding elements of silly humor. So far, this has worked out fine for the band, as the first demo they ever sent out got them to play at the Hultsfred festival 2004, and the second took them to Emmaboda the same year. In 2005, 50 Hertz was chosen by Islandic artist Björk to contribute with a track for her remix-album "Army of me". For this they are very proud.
Except for a few compilation cds, 50 Hertz has chosen to release their music themselves on cdr and mp3. Between may and december 2004 they released six internet-EPs and one album on their homepage, so they're productive alright.
