Info about Archer
Archer is Kim Fastesson (guitar and lead vocals), Erik persson (guitar), Fredrik Åberg (claviatur, melodica), Lovisa Lindström (drums) and Markus Eriksson (bass, mandoline and harmonica). Archer comes from Frösön, Jämtland, Sweden.
Throughout the years Archer, previously know as Motion Picture and Lucid Mist even before that, has created a unique and intriguing sound. Altough the members, four guys and one girl, are still in their late teens Archer has established themselves as a force to be reckoned with and as exeptionally gifted songwriters.
On their three demo-recordings they have displayed a genuine belief in pop-music's ability to move its listeners, and has earned well deserved praising in return. These records, which presents merly a small amount of the bands extensive repertoire, contains songs of beauty and desperation, of love and longing. Catchy choruses, distorded, jangly guitars and soaring melodies. Escapistic vocals, distinctive organs and a perfectly tight beat.
Songs like "Sometimes even I think its a nice dream that we share" could hardly have surfaced anywere else than from a that certain island in the middle of northen Sweden, from the winters edge. Songs like these rarely fails in its aim to affect people, at least everybody with blood in their veins. But most importantly, these are songs that preferably shouldn't be read about, but heard.
