Info about Hemstad
Hemstad is seven high-intelligence, music-, painting- and hard working artists from the capital of Sweden; Gothenburg.
Surrounded by beautiful women, Hemstad is seen in the underground of art, such as music. Hemstad was originally founded by Christian Magnusson (organ/synthesizers) and his buddy, old pal, Viktor Sultan (harmonica/guitar), in a moldy rotten house in the town of Kungalv. Later, the "band" added John Karrbrink (handclaps) and Stefan Stromberg (bassguitar) and they recorded a 5-track cd-r in Christians apartment called "Det Brinner I Knutarna".
As time has passed, Emanuel Hallongren (drums), Karl Ander (leadguitar) and Jonas Algarden (tambourine) has joined the group, turning Hemstad into a package of joy, putting smiles on good friends faces and done a couple of official performances in Gothenburg.
Except inspired by rock'n'roll in general and the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky, Hemstad and their sound is a highspeed energic, instrumental dedication to the west coast of Sweden.
