Lucknow Pact was formed in October 2002 in Gothenburg, Sweden by Andreas Hartman, Markus Hasselblom, Mischa Hayman and Lars Nordgren. Their first live performance was at Andreas' wedding in June 2003. In December the same year, Carl-Magnus Berger joined the band.
Lucknow Pact released a vinyl single, A few drinks a few laughs, on Hej Musik! in the Spring of 2004. The single won attention in media and a lot of live performances followed. The drummer Lars Nordgren left Lucknow Pact in August and was replaced by Tammy Karlsson.
In the Autumn of 2004 Lucknow Pact started to record their debut album. The recordings took place on the island of Lyr in Bohuslän. The album will be released on Hit In Yo Soul Records in the Spring of 2005.
