Info about Poprace
Info from Shelflife:
The band formed during 1992. After some rough months in the rehearsing room Poprace finally entered the studio and recorded 5 songs, which are documented on the "Hangliding at Sea" single released on March-Marigold. The sound was tough and inspired by Wedding Present's excellent "Seamonster". Maybe too tough for the typical March-Marigold fan because the record had very bad sales figures. 1993 the band surprised their German-based audience live in Hamburg with an aggressive set. The band also performed a few successful gigs in Sweden 1994-1995.
In 1994 Poprace changed their sound a bit. The vocals was now more Pop than Rock and Poprace recorded 5 new songs in 1995. Elefant Records released these songs 1996 and by then Poprace had already split up.
